Neil founded Serone and continues to actively lead the business day-to-day in his role as Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to Serone, Neil held various senior positions within the investment banking industry, heading both structured credit and CLO groups, leveraging his experience in sourcing, structuring, trading and syndication of transactions.  With over 30 years in the industry, Neil has an extensive global network across all areas of our markets, which we still draw upon today.

Serj is a founding partner and Chief Investment Officer.

Prior to Serone, Serj built up a decade of buy-side experience at KBC Financial Products (KBCFP) in London. As Senior Portfolio Manager he was responsible for a multi-billion dollar CLO/CDO/ABS investments and trading portfolio, one of the largest in Europe. Prior to KBCFP, Serj held senior positions in structured finance and credit derivatives at Standard & Poor’s and Credit Suisse Financial Products.

Adrian is a founding partner and Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to Serone, Adrian was the Head of the Multi-Asset Class Group within International Prime Brokerage at Morgan Stanley in London. There, he was responsible for managing and developing the fixed income and foreign exchange platforms for hedge fund clients. Prior to that, Adrian also headed the Fixed Income Client Service Group at Morgan Stanley.

Stuart is a Portfolio Manager in Serone’s Structured Credit investment team.

Prior to Serone, Stuart worked at HSBC, initially in the Americas ABS Origination group, but primarily in the EMEA Leveraged and Acquisition Finance group, which originates, executes and distributes leveraged, investment-grade, and infrastructure financing products for large corporate and private equity clients.

Matt is Head of Special Situations and Portfolio Manager of our European Special Situations Fund.

Prior to Serone, Matt founded Atlantic Capital Management which was later acquired by EPIC Investment Partners where he was Portfolio Manager. Matt previously held roles at Brigade Capital Management, Anchorage Capital Group, GSC Partners, Bank of Ireland and Michel Dyens & Co.

Steven is Head of Performing Credit.

Before joining Serone, Steven was Portfolio Manager, Head of CLOs at Angelo Gordon. Prior to that he held roles at PGIM Fixed Income and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Michiel is Head of Credit Research.

Prior to Serone, Michiel was a Managing Director at Angelo Gordon, where he led European performing credit research and identified investment opportunities across the region. Michiel was previously a Managing Director and Head of European Credit Research at PGIM Fixed Income, where he was also co-chair of the ESG Committee.

Alan is the Chief Risk Officer.

Prior to Serone, Alan held senior risk management positions at Goldman Sachs including Chief Market Risk Officer for Goldman Sachs International and was a founder of the firm’s Enterprise Risk function. Alan’s previous experience includes leading risk management for Global Proprietary Trading at Credit Suisse as well as risk leadership roles at UBS and Commerzbank.

Brent is Head of North America & Client Partnership Group.

Before joining Serone, Brent led the Client Advisory Group at Prospect Capital Management. Prior to that he was a Managing Director & Head of Client Advisory at Tremblant Capital Group. Brent’s previous experience includes leadership roles at Basso Capital and Pequot Capital Management.

Qi is the Chief Financial Officer.

As a qualified ACA accountant from Deloitte, she has extensive post qualification experience in finance, operations, valuation and audit at a portfolio of institutions including hedge funds, investment banks and trading houses, with a strong track record of working with multiple asset classes and systems and managing various stakeholders.

Chuck is the Chief Development Officer.

Prior to Serone, Chuck gained extensive experience in software development through his roles at Trading Labs, Red Deer and Marble Bar Asset Management.

Sergey is General Counsel and Head of Compliance.

Prior to Serone, Sergey held the role of SVP at Jefferies advising derivatives trading desks in the Fixed Income and Equities divisions in legal and regulatory matters.  Sergey’s previous experience includes legal counsel at UBS AG for their fixed income and equity derivatives business divisions and Managing Associate at Linklaters in the derivatives and structured products group.
